Space to reconnect with yourself

I offer individual psychotherapy for adults outdoors in a natural space .

I don't currently have space available for new clients, but I do hold a waiting list. Contact me for a free 15-minute telephone call to explore working together.

In life we can experience times of disconnection where we can feel stuck and overwhelmed

You may have lost touch with who you are, what you really want, and what matters most to you. Sometimes this can be about immersing yourself in other people’s needs so that you forget and neglect yourself. Or you may have become hard on yourself, trying to please others, or reach high standards, so that you end up exhausted and defeated. You may feel paralysed and unable to find a way forward for yourself in your life.

Psychotherapy gives you a supportive space to practice reconnecting with yourself, tend to your emotional wounds, and rediscover the meaning in your life. It takes courage and honesty to do this, and with perseverance, kindness, and creativity, you can find a new way of being in your life.

My approach to therapy combines explorative, relational, depth therapy (Integrative Psychotherapy), with an action-based approach (Cognitive behavioural therapy - CBT). This means that we can explore the underlying processes and dynamics that are influencing you, and find practical, focused strategies for you to experiment with and try out in your life.

I deeply enjoy offering this holistic, integrative psychotherapy. I became a psychotherapist out of my appreciation of how my life had been opened up by others coming alongside me in my times of struggle, confusion, and stuckness. I spent my early career working as an occupational therapist in mental health settings and I really enjoyed seeing people find ways forward in their life when they had been overcome by obstacles.

Becoming a psychotherapist allowed me to be able go deeper in supporting others to be with themselves at these challenging times, as I had been helped to in my life. I now work part-time in the NHS and in my private practice. I find my work deeply rewarding and enjoy replenishing myself in nature, yoga, meditation and relaxing with others.
